Really, I think it's my favorite rocket launcher of all time in any game. With those caveats out of the way, the original Quake has by far and away my favorite rocket launcher. But I've taken a look at videos of the ones I'm not as familiar with. So my memory of, for example, the rocket launcher in Quake 4 is not very detailed. And, some that I have played have been a goodly while since I last played them. Well, I haven't played all of the Quake titles. Looking for input into what makes a rocket launcher great? That rocket launcher somehow managed to be clunkier than q2. I don't think it's even good as a large scale battlefield style game, much less a "quake" title.
Man everything about this game just looks like shit. If the netcode worked correctly in QC I could rate it number 3.Ħ-99: well nothing is literally better than QuakeWars, so they got that going for themĪs for QuakeWars itself. Quake Champions' RL aesthetically is okay, worse than q3 but better than Q4. Gameplay is King and I hate using this thing Quake 2's RL is a nice SciFi or near future design, but man is it slow and clunky. Carmack made draw gun optional for a reason I actually hate Quake 4's RL aesthetically but functionally it is essentially identical to Quake 3's and gameplay is what counts. Mechanically it is a bit less fun than Q1, but now it's less OP Quake 3's rocket launcher feels similar to Q1 aesthetically, just with some SciFi elements.
The design is fantastic, and mechanically it is the most fun weapon I've used in all of gaming. Quake's rocket launcher is the best RL in any game for all of time. I am very excited to see your guys' responses! :D This means Enemy Territory: Quake Wars counts as a Quake game, so include that game's rocket launcher in your list please (See this video: ).
